Wetherby racecourse
Known as 'The A1 Racecourse' as the road runs alongside the home turn, Wetherby is just 12 miles from Leeds. It attracts top-class runners from all over the country and is regarded as a fair, flat, galloping course which suits long-striding solid jumpers.
The Bet365 Charlie Hall Chase and the Coral.co.uk Castleford Chase are among the feature events. Racing first took place on the present site in 1891.
