Fakenham racecourse

Being the nearest course to the Royal Family's home at Sandringham, racing in Norfolk has enjoyed extended royal patronage. In 1886, the then Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, became their President, a post he held for over 20 years.

Situated just off the A148, the track itself is almost square, it is a left-handed circuit of about a mile.
