Bellewstown racecourse

On the hill of Crockafotha in County Meath, this course is beautifully situated in a rural setting with magnificent views of the Mountains of Mourne to the north and the Irish Sea to the east. It can be found just off the main Dublin to Belfast road and is 23 miles north of Dublin and seven miles south of Drogheda

It is left-handed and about a mile and a half in circumference with a furlong straight. Racing first took place in February 1859.

Flat: A left-handed undulating sharp track of 9f with a 3f run-in and an uphill finish. Draw advantage - low numbers best.
Jumps: Steeplechasing ceased in 1977, the hurdle races are run with 5 hurdles per circuit.
