Cieren Fallon claimed the first victory of his fledgling riding career as he partnered Plucky Dip to win at Leicester on Monday.

Fallon, the son of six-times champion jockey Kieren, teamed up with the John Ryan-trained 25-1 shot in the Racing Excellence “Hands And Heels” Apprentice Series Handicap over seven furlongs.

Having just his third ride, Fallon pushed his mount to the lead inside the final furlong and Plucky Dip kept finding to come home half a length clear of Peachey Carnehan.
