Willie Mullins holding fire with Total Recall ahead of Grand National weights

Total Recall Ladbrokes Trophy hero Total Recall is unlikely to run again before the weights for the Randox Health Grand National are published on February 13.
Formerly trained by the now-retired Sandra Hughes, the nine-year-old bolted up on his first start for Willie Mullins in the Munster National at Limerick in October before claiming the race formerly known as the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury a month ago.
While the Cheltenham Gold Cup remains a possible target, Mullins is more keen on a tilt at the world's most famous steeplechase at Aintree on April 14, for which he is a general 25-1 shot.
Mullins told At The Races: " I think I'm going to wait and see. I'm looking at the Grand National and if we're going to go down that route, do we want to run him again until the weights come out?
"Initially I thought about going for the Thyestes Chase (Gowran Park, January 25), but possibly he's gone too high in the handicap to win that.
"Possibly he could go for the Bobbyjo Chase (Fairyhouse, February 24) and then the Grand National. Maybe if he ran in the Bobbyjo, he could go to Cheltenham and run in the Gold Cup and then go for the Grand National."
