Ayr announces precautionary inspection for Thursday card

Ayr action Thursday's meeting at Ayr is subject to a precautionary inspection at 8am on raceday.
The going at the track is heavy, soft in places, after 13 millimetres of rain overnight followed by three millimetres in two hours on Wednesday morning.
Clerk of the course Graeme Anderson said: "We're raceable at present but the rain is torrential right now.
"We're forecast another 10mm today, with the forecast for the rain to stop some time between 1pm and 3pm.
"We just need a bit of time for that water to drain away, so it's fingers crossed."
The track lost its prestigious three-day Ayr Gold Cup meeting last month.
