Colin Tizzard has grounds for concern ahead of Chepstow's weekend action

Finian's Oscar

Colin Tizzard fears fast ground at Chepstow could prevent him from running Finian's Oscar this weekend.

The top-class novice hurdler has been pencilled in to make his chasing debut in Wales, but a few dry days have raised concerns about the ground quickening up.

With the likes of Alary, Sizing Codelco and Vision Des Flos all holding entries, it would be a high-profile start to proceedings for Bryan Cooper, who was appointed as owner Alan Potts' retained rider in Britain on Tuesday.

"It is very much up in the air at the minute because of the ground," said Tizzard.

"It is getting harder by the day and I don't want to run any of them on firm ground, not just Finian's Oscar.

"There is a bit of rain due on Wednesday, but we will see what happens. I hope to run them but it is not set in stone."
