Raheen House awarded Ascot Listed prize

Raheen House Raheen House was given the LondonMetric Noel Murless Stakes in the Ascot stewards' room after a thrilling conclusion to the Listed contest.
Hochfeld led the six-strong field into the straight, but Weekender and Frankie Dettori - bidding for a treble on the card - hit the front passing the furlong marker.
The Brian Meehan-trained Raheen House, who was seventh in the St Leger almost three weeks ago, finished strongly under Jamie Spencer and looked set to score, but Dettori's mount fought back and the pair flashed by the post almost as one.
After a brief wait, the judge confirmed John Gosden's Weekender had claimed victory by a nose, but an inquiry was soon called and the result was amended. Hochfeld was a clear third.
