Wexford racecourse
The earliest records of racing took place on reclaimed boglands in the 1870s. By 1902, however, this had ceased and racing commenced again on the present course in 1951.
Located in the south east of Ireland, Wexford racecourse is situated just outside the town off the Dublin-Rosslare bypass, 15 miles from Rosslare ferry port. Racing takes place throughout the year on an undulating, right-handed course of a mile and a quarter for chases, hurdles and flat races.
