Killarney racecourse
Located just one kilometre outside Killarney town just off the road to Kenmare in the County of Kerry, the course is 96km north-west of Cork and 32 km south-east of Tralee.
About 10 furlongs round, this dual-purpose course is left-handed. The first recorded race meetings in Killarney were from 1822 to 1901, though the present course was opened in 1936. Its celebrated four-day Summer Festival commenced in 1947 and the races are run along the bank of the River Flesk.
